This Titanium Wrap from DEI is the Top of the Line.  The tight weave resists abrasion and unraveling, is resistant to oil and gas, and because of its' unique properties resists thermal breakdown, discoloring, and vibration breakdown.

Wrapping your pipes will increase your performance, while reducing radiant heat by up to 50%.

Keeping exhaust gases hotter within the pipes increases exhaust scavenging, which reduces intake temperatures, resulting in increased horsepower and torque.

If your pipes are chrome or painted with a high heat paint, the thermal wrap will NOT cause your pipes to rust.

Titanium exhaust wrap with LR technology is constructed from pulverized lava rock, extruded into fibers, and then woven into a tight weave, giving it titanium-like strength and toughness.

For radiant heat reduction, this wrap can be installed underneath chrome heat shields.

FITMENT NOTES:

The wrap is 2 inches wide and 35 feet long.  For maximum thermal performance it should have an overlap of 1/4".  This will cover 11 feet of 1.75" diameter exhaust.

It does NOT need to be pre-wet.  It is extremely pliable for a tight and secure wrap.

It does NOT need any kind of coating.

DEI does NOT recommend wrapping exhausts made of titanium. The alloys used in the production of titanium exhaust systems tend to be thin and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping any titanium exhaust pipe, regardless of brand, can hold in too much heat, and make the titanium alloy turn brittle and prone to premature cracking.

Good stuff made by Dei. It's $13 cheaper and 1 day delivery on Amazon though.

The wrap is fantastic and looks great, well it did. Where I screwed up is. I got some of the spray to spray over it to help make it even more water resistant. Bad move, fully change the color turned it white in most of the areas almost like when you have some sort of exhaust material that burns. It looks like white ash, which basically I think what happened. It actually heated up and burned even though the spray was made by DEI and said it was, I can't remember off top of my head, 1800 deg or something like that temperature rating?? So now, I need to rebuy the wrap, rebuy tkhe metal straps, remove & redo the whole job, complete pain in the ass! I've seen other guys with this exact same wrap, not sprayed and it looks freaking Awesome!! At first mine looked like that till I actually fired the bike up and it heated up, but live and learn I guess, but as far as the wrap, it works fantastic and no soaking. Easy to put on It's like putting a dress tie on when you're putting a suit on it. Just wraps around easy like that. Definitely buy the little tool that they have, it looks like a socket extension with a slit in the end, you could almost make your own but it'll grab those metal wraps and twist them nice and tight. As far as buying the small little dikes that clip them off flush, they're not even strong enough to cut those metal straps, but they work great for plastic zipties, cuts them nice and smooth, but for metal, forget it they're useless...Kevin.

    Response from store

Yep, it is great wrap. It does not need to be wetted, and it does NOT need a coating. It is made to take out of the package, wrap the pipes, and ride.

DEI does make other wraps that should be sprayed....we do not use or sell those. This is the best.

    Thank you for the review!

One of the many best things I have done to my 2010 Tri Glide Ultra. First of all very pliable and easy to wrap and put your heat shields back on. I live in Georgia and it gets pretty HOT down here. This week high 90's and the wrap really cut down on the heat from the exhaust in traffic. Very pleased with this product as I am with the many other upgrades from DK Customs.

This is fairly easy to use, no need for wetting like other brands. You will need to get some metal zip ties to hold on place at start and end of wrap. Also some gloves as stated in another review to keep from getting fibers in hands.

No need to wet his stuff, super malleable and the application is great. Just wear some rubber gloves so you don’t get any little fibers all over your hands. Performs awesome, buy some!
